The town of Decize is built on an island on the River Loire. The Castle of the Counts of Nevers used to stand on its summit.
- Chuch of Saint-Aré: the 11th century choir covers one of the few Merovingian crypts still in existence to day.
- Promenade of the halles: this is a beautiful shaded promenade beneath imposing plane trees, the oldest of which date back to 1771.
