At 10km from Beaulon: Bourbon Lancy:     this spa town is situated on a hill overlooking the Loire Valley and the plains of the Bourbonnais region. The old town, separate from the spa quarter, is very busy in the sommer season.

You enter into the old town through the " tour de l'horloge" ( Clock Tower ) belfry. Much of the charm of the old town of Bourbon is due to the half-timbered and Renaissance wood houses which are located within a 15th century circular wall. The Museum of Military Uniforms in the rue de la Collégiale houses and amazing collection of uniforms.

Outside the town walls, the Chuch of Saint-Nazaire has been converted into a museum which exibits local antiquities ( gallo-roman remains, merovingian sarcophaguses ) and works of art ( paintings, sculptures, Sèvre porcelain, etc...)

In the spa quarter you can visit the Aligre hospice as well as the spa itself.
