will find a mass of useful information for all canal-users, whether
pleasure-boaters, fishermen, walkers, cyclists, or simply tourists or local
residents.
You can
quickly access the subject which interests you by clicking on the appropriate
button in the left-hand column.
However, if
you have a little more time or if you want to know more about our canal, click
on the button “Canal Latéral”. Here
you can find details of the whole canal, locality by locality, mooring by
mooring, by clicking on each place in turn.
If you are
interested in a particular place, click directly on the name to get all sorts
of information such as equipment of the moorings, shops, services, tourist spots,
etc.
If you want
to know the state of the traffic on the canal, find out by clicking on “news” (“avis à la batellerie”.in French)
Are you
interested in the history of the canal ? if so, then click on the title “A
short history” at the top of the “Canal Latéral” page. The historical
information is provided by the organisation DRAC (Direction Régionale de l’Action Culturelle) and by a renowned specialist in canal
history – Charles Berg.
